MML group had a warm and inspiring Christmas dinner in Fitzwilliam college on 14th Dec 2015. The Christmas dinner started with pre-drinks in Writing Room and followed by the formal dinner in Parlour. Coffees and drinks after dinner were held in Wring Room and college bar. We are glad that everyone in MML group has attended this Christmas dinner. We wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Ancient proteins resolve the evolutionary history of Darwin’s South American ungulates

In collaboration with colleagues from University of York, and elsewhere, we have helped to develop techniques for analysing sequences of collagen in ancient bone which shed light on important phylogenetic relationships that were previously inaccessible using traditional DNA dating techniques.
