About
I graduated with a degree in Physics Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. I came to Cambridge to study a Master's degree where I did research on the thermal expansion of carbon nanotube fibres. After obtaining the master's degree I devoted my PhD research to study the thermoelectric properties of CNT films and fibres.
Currently as a postodoctoral research associate I work on the incorporation of carbon nanotubes into membranes for water desalination.
Research
I am interested in the characterisation and understanding of the thermal properties of CNT-based materials. My research has focused on understanding the relationship between the synthesis parameters and the thermal properties of nano-structured materials. Using these materials in practical applications is an important aspect of my work. I have worked on the development of a printing technique for the controlled deposition of CNT conductive dispersions and in the fabrication of CNT-thermoelectric devices for energy conversion.
