About
Anastasiia studied Chemical Technology of fibers, polymeric composites and carbon materials at the Saint-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), where she obtained her first degree (Engineer, 2008), PhD (2011), and worked as a Teaching Assistant and as a Research Associate. For her research on carbon materials and composites, Anastasiia was awarded with prizes and fellowships by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (2009), the Government of Saint-Petersburg (2010), the Government of the Russian Federation (2010/2011), and won several research grants.
Anastasiia joined MML Group as a Postdoctoral researcher, aiming to create novel polymeric composites under the supervision of Prof. Alan Windle.
Anastasiia Mikhalchan has now returned to her home in Russia, after her short post doctoral appointment in MML. She accomplished much9 during her few months with the group.
